No. Its maximum volume is smaller: 30 U-100 markings correspond to 0.3 mL. The insulin concentration remains U-100.

Can I use a 1 mL tuberculin syringe instead?

Only when the medication instructions and a qualified professional specify the appropriate device and volume. Its scale is in mL, not insulin units.
